Scientology’s Pac Base in Hollywood, along with all other Hollywood area Scientology Orgs, went into a complete lockdown and boarded up its facilities in preparation for civil unrest following the horrific police murder of George Floyd.

Scientology’s craftsmanship in boarding up was excellent in terms of fit and finish. However, this skill was limited to Scientology’s real estate only. Scientology did not offer to help anyone else, particularly the many small minority-owned businesses in the area surrounding Pac Base a/k/a Big Blue.

While Scientology’s Hollywood Orgs had earlier distributed Scientology’s self-serving COVD-19 pamphlets to area businesses, this is where Scientology’s help stopped. The Church of Scientology did not offer to board up neighboring businesses and thereby missed a major opportunity. Imagine if Scientology Volunteer Ministers had been shown in the television coverage of the world media boarding up small businesses on Hollywood, Sunset, and Melrose Boulevards where the rioting and real danger was going on. Scientology Hollywood missed a major opportunity to actually help the local community when and where it mattered at ground zero. Scientology’s focus remained fixated on its real estate alone.

The Advanced Organization of Los Angeles (AOLA) was sealed up as tightly as a tomb.

The Church of Scientology has a history of coming into an area only after the danger has passed. Scientology’s Volunteer Ministers swoop in for photo ops after the natural disaster or mass shooting to do touch assists and hand out copies of The Way to Happiness. These meaningless gestures accomplish nothing.

Boarding up small businesses in danger from looters would have been a meaningful gesture. Instead, Scientology only boarded up its facilities. Why? L. Ron Hubbard taught that Scientologists have a 3rd Dynamic (Community) obligation. There was no 3rd Dynamic outreach made.

Now that the danger seems to have passed, and even this is not guaranteed, we will soon enough see Scientology’s body routers working the Vermont/Sunset street corners in search of some “raw meat wogs” to bring into the Orgs. Scientology’s lion is rapacious and must be fed. The lion eats money and people and has a sweet tooth for celebrities:

The Scientology Lion must be fed new money and people each Thursday by 2:00 PM. This is the ravening beast at the heart of Scientology. Protected by the fence of an ill-gotten tax-exemption, the fence will come down in time.

Placing a large cement planter box in a driveway by using a forklift is a good security practice to form a robust temporary barricade against vehicles. Scientology used this technique to protect its driveways, properties, and parishioners:

The Fountain Hotel at Pac Base had its windows boarded up. However, the front door was open but guarded.

The Church of Scientology in Los Angeles is boarded up for now. But soon it will re-open along with everything else. Once re-opened for business, Scientology will continue hurtling in its present trajectory towards an inevitable collapse.
