Scientology OT8 Gary Cardone publicly stated that he was going through a “very violent divorce” in a public video. This would seem to act against his own interest. It also argues that Scientology is ineffective in creating a happy marriage as it promotes.
Cardone further states that he spent $4 million in marital assets during this period. Cardone asserts that the lesson here is that entrepreneurs must act even when it is not convenient. However, divorce laws are specific in regards to marital assets. Cardone’s admission on this also seems to act against his own interest.
We assume this is why this legal filing by Gary’s ex-wife — who is not a Scientologist — followed. The document shows income related to a percentage of ownership in American Power & Gas (APG LLC, which is majority-owned by Scientologist mega-donor Tom Cummins:

As someone who has been burned by a Scientology “divorce,” this is very interesting
I never had to worry about assets dividing up. I’d just give in at any rate. It’s to me immoral to fight over the dough, she got boatloads, millions, the prior years, up to her getting scotched by him. My gosh, if she’s not the go getter of the dough, this extra million to me is if not her “work” in the world to obtain that dough, I mean, she’s being a bit greedier than him, both too greedy humans for my taste.
There’s another interesting filing in this case, wherein Monica alleged that Dr. Brent Agin was prescribing vallium and adderall to Gary. Big if true! Scientology would consider these “psych drugs,” if I am not mistaken. Dr. Agin has been described elsewhere as the Sea Org’s “go-to” doctor in Florida, and has ties to CCHR and Narcanon.
