Karen and I extend our warmest congratulations to Leah Remini on earning her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from the School of Professional Studies at New York University.

Leah left Scientology with an 8th grade education. She and Kevin James became the co-stars of the long-running hit sitcom The King of Queens.  

After writing her New York Times bestseller Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, Leah appeared with Mike Rinder for three seasons on Scientology and the Aftermath, a show that won two Emmys.

In January 2026, Leah was conferred a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from the School of Professional Studies at New York University. That is an extraordinary academic achievement by any measure.
