Scientology Feels the Heat from Leah Remini’s Show

Crisis ensues inside the Church of Scientology following the debut of season two of Leah Remini’s show Scientology and the Aftermath. As reported by Mike Rinder today, the Church’s poisonous Office of Special Affairs and its lackeys are sending a stream of e-mails urging Scientologists to write letters to Leah’s sponsors.

Long-time Los Angeles Scientologist Joel Philips — who ran Scientology hate websites for many years — is one of the OSA volunteers leading the charge. Here is text from Joel’s leaked e-mail with my comments:

Hello Friends,

I’m pretty sure you are aware of Leah Remini’s show on A & E attacking Scientology and further that is has been nominated for an Emmy in the “Best Informational or Series Special” category. Unbelievable.

Currently, we are helping on a campaign to counter and stop this insanity.

What is needed and wanted right now are letters (emails) to the *sponsors* of this show. We want them to back off on their support, and without their support, the show will likely be pulled.

If you would be willing to write an email, guidelines follow. The content needs to be original from you. Here are some points you can use to help you, but please put them in your own words.

Not to support religious hate and bigotry since this leads to violence against people and property.

Comment: The Church of Scientology is founded on bigotry, hatred, homophobia, racism, greed, and violence. Scientologists actually consider themselves to be a superior Master Race called Homo Novis. L. Ron Hubbard called for a genocide against all people in the world Scientology adjudged were 2.0 or below on Hubbard’s so-called Tone Scale:

b. This country has seen enough bigotry and hate speech. It does not need support and validation of it.

Comment: Scientology calls non-Scientologists homo saps, wogs, degraded beings, robots, Suppressive Persons, 1.1’s, raw meat, and other bigoted and hateful names. L. Ron Hubbard infamously used the “N” word in a letter to his  first wife and the Church of Scientology has never apologized for this. L. Ron Hubbard:

You shouldn’t be scrubbing the floor on your hands and knees. Get yourself a nigger; that’s what they’re born for.

The Church of Scientology needs to renounce its own genocidal Master Race doctrine, bigotry, racism, homophobia, and internally exploitative culture of greed, violence, and lies before it preaches anything to anyone.

Scientology appallingly uses child labor in its Sea Org and actually wants to lecture anyone about anything? Seriously. How about Scientology renounce the practice of, and stop using, child labor as a first step? These kids belong in school where they can get a proper education. They should not be scrubbing toilets and doing other manual labor for .50 cents an hour or less. These children are condemned to a bleak future as Scientology slave labor under the false label of “religious workers.”

c. Remini’s religious hate campaign has caused hundreds of threats of violence against Scientologists and our Churches.

Leah Remini is exposing the evils of Scientology and Scientologists call this a “hate campaign.” The public is experiencing moral outrage against Scientology’s brutality and inhumanity and Scientologists can’t have it. Thus, they engage in propaganda by redefinition: “We are being persecuted, we are victims,” they whine. Scientologists can dish it out but they can’t take it. Scientology practices Fair Game and yet the second they are exposed they claim to be victims. Scientology has produced no evidence of the claimed “hundreds of threats of violence against Scientologists and our Churches.”

Scientology leader David Miscavige is also missing in action. He is not leading nor is he speaking out. Rather, he is in hiding as he directs Scientology’s attacks on Leah Remini, Mike Rinder, and others connected with Leah’s show.

Emmy support of this hate and bigotry will be a dark day for the Emmys and for American entertainment.

Comment: A translation is in order. If A&E, Leah Remini, and Mike Rinder win an Emmy for Leah’s show then Scientology will have a stroke. This is pure jealousy. Tom Cruise doesn’t even have one Oscar and yet Leah may well win an Emmy. On a related note, Scientology’s $100 million dollar Scientology Media Productions here in Hollywood has produced exactly nothing. Scientology has movie and television stars, a world-class studio, and an unlimited budget to produce its own television show to rebut Leah. Given this embarrassment of riches, why has the Church of Scientology failed to produce its own television show and instead chosen to play the role of a victim? What are Scientology’s celebrities hiding from?

If what Remini says were true there would be a conviction, a judgment, a police report or something. There is not.

Comment: Not true Joel Philips. Why don’t you tell the real truth of how Scientology has a team of criminal defense lawyers ready to go the minute there is trouble? Why don’t you tell the truth of how Scientology uses threats of Disconnection and forces its victims to sign legal agreements to not sue the Church, sue Scientologists, or go to the police — and it makes them do so while being recorded. Spit it out Joel! You know how dirty it gets. L. Ron Hubbard himself made it a high crime for one Scientologist to report another to the civil authorities:

Reporting or threatening to report Scientology or Scientologists to civil authorities in an effort to suppress Scientology or Scientologists from practicing or receiving standard Scientology…

Delivering up the person of a Scientologist without justifiable defense
or lawful protest to the demands of civil or criminal law. — HCO POLICY LETTER OF 23 DECEMBER 1965RB, Revised 8 January 1991. SUPPRESSIVE ACTS,SUPPRESSION OF SCIENTOLOGY AND SCIENTOLOGISTS

In the YouTube video below, we see Church attorney Eliot Abelson videotaping a legal settlement with former Flag CO Debbie Cook. Debbie had to engage in this humiliating performance just to get a pittance in severance pay from the Church after 28 years of service. Debbie Cook later sued the Church. The matter was quickly settled after Debbie exposed the most vile things about David Miscavige and the Church. Indeed, the Church folded up like a cheap lawn chair after only one day of Debbie testifying.

Comment: When Alex Jentzsch was found dead, a criminal defense lawyer retained by Scientology was immediately put into action to protect the Church’s interests at LAPD and with the Los Angeles Coroners Office.

When New OTVIII Rex Fowler shot and killed his business partner in cold blood and then tried to kill himself, Scientology attorneys were on scene immediately charged with the task of keeping Scientology out of the story. Fowler’s wife rushed to the scene in an attempt to get Fowler’s briefcase as it contained OT materials. The Church needed to keep these materials secret; no matter that one of its OT VIII’s had committed first degree murder.

And of course, Scientology hired twenty-two lawyers in the Rathbun v. Miscavige case. I was there in the courtroom in Comal County, Texas and saw them all.

Joel Philips concludes by telling Scientologists to indiscriminately send out his bogus propaganda letter to Leah’s sponsors. Joel’s e-mail is shown below should readers care to share their thoughts with him:

Just start your email with Dear Sirs. Don’t worry about the particular sponsor. You will send your email to admin@we-stand.org <mailto:admin@we-stand.org> and they will get it to the right recipient. You also need to send a bcc to joelinla@earthlink.net<mailto:joelinla@earthlink.net>

  1. PLEASE keep up your great work in exposing this “so called” Church… they need to be stopped.

  2. Please take this CULT DOWN!! These people are being held against their will. Child Labor is totally INEXCUSABLE as are the Money that is being paid for these RIDICULOUS BOOKS of SCIENCE FICTION!! GO LEAH and MIKE!! The WORLD SUPPORTS YOU!!

  3. I can’t believe their pitiful letter campaign can stop the hurricane that is Leah and Mike. Their progress in exposing the crimes of this organization has been monumental. Her goal was to “save at least one” from Scientology. I’m sure she’s save thousands – given them courage to get out or the smarts to stay away. She is a hero.

  4. Give us the sponsor names and we will all send letters to them in support of their sponsorship on Leah’s show! We will, without a doubt, outnumber them and crush their attempt to hide the truth.
