Ojai Fire Department personnel at Narconon Ojai

The corrupt relationship between the LAPD and Scientology having been exposed by livestreamers, Scientology Los Angeles has shifted part of its PR efforts north to the town of Ojai, a beautiful old city situated in the coastal mountains above Ventura, California.

Once the home of spiritual teacher Krishnamurti, Ojai has long been a center of New Age groups.

In 2013, Scientology purchased the spectacular Ojai home of the late actor Larry Hagman (1931-2012). Situated on a mountainside with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the coastal mountain range, Hagman called his 43-acre estate “Heaven” when he was alive and resided there with his wife Maj Axelsson (1928-1916), The couple were married in 1954 and remained together until Hagman passed away in 2012 at age 81.

The Church of Scientology purchased the residence for $5 million in 2012 and converted the mansion into a luxury Narconon treatment center.

The Ojai Fire Department recently accepted an invitation to lunch at Narconon Ojai. In exchange, the Fire Department allowed its name and photos of its personnel to be used on Narconon Ojai’s website.

The photos imply an endorsement of the dangerous and pseudoscientific Narconon program by the Ojai Fire Department.

Commander, now Sheriff James Fryhoff, of the Ventura Sheriff’s Department has also cooperated with the Church of Scientology by appearing at a Narconon-sponsored golf tournament:

These efforts by Narconon Ojai are part of what Scientology calls “Area PR Control” the purpose of which is to “safepoint” itself with local political, police, fire departments, and schools.

The logic is that local officials will become persuaded that Scientology is not a destructive soul-killing and rapine Cult. This false perception is based upon having met the local Scientologists who seem so nice and polite.
