TikTok influencer Jessica Palmadessa, who has 1.1 million followers, has launched an online petition to demand that the IRS investigate the Church of Scientology’s abuses of tax exemption.
We have signed the petition and are asking our followers to please sign Jessica’s petition.
Without going into specifics — and this in order to deny Scientology any details — our 2017 petition got the attention of the IRS. This 2017 petition had 19,541 signatures and we want to see much larger numbers on Jessica’s petition.
The awareness of Scientology’s abuses of its tax exempt status is now higher than ever following the criminal conviction of Danny Masterson; the multiyear Chase Wave Credit Card fraud; the many civil lawsuits in which Scientology and its leader David Miscavige are named; and Scientology’s use of malicious and unconscionable contracts to protect itself from civil and criminal justice.
Scientology is also increasing its use targeted psychoterrorism; false and defamatory propaganda online; and engaging in continuous violations of public policy.
This has to stop.
The IRS must revoke the Church of Scientology’s 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. Scientology must be made to pay for the consequences of its vicious and often illegal conduct.

We, the undersigned, urgently call upon the IRS and the US Congress to investigate and address the documented abuses of tax exemption by the Church of Scientology. Exploiting their tax-exempt status and the protections granted under the label of religion by the IRS, the Church has engaged in egregious activities, including:
1. Sea Org Indentured Servitude: Utilizing tax-exempt status to turn Sea Org members into indentured servants, exploiting the protections granted by the IRS.
2. Hiring Private Investigators: Using tax-exempt funds to hire private investigators for stalking, harassing, and intimidating former members, critics, journalists, and filmmakers.
3. Illegal Acquisition of Phone Records: Funding the illegal acquisition of phone records to track the communications of targeted individuals.
4. Unlawful Obtaining of Travel Information: Using tax-exempt money for obtaining flight and travel information to facilitate stalking and harassment.
5. Publicizing Private Confessional Data: Funding the publicization of private confessional data to smear and humiliate former Scientologists who speak out against abuse.
6. False, Defamatory Propaganda: Channeling tax-exempt dollars into financing false, defamatory propaganda through hate websites and publications.
7. Google Ad Campaigns: Financing Google ad campaigns to promote malicious smear campaigns against critics, journalists, and filmmakers.
8. Legal Defense Spending: Spending millions of tax-exempt dollars on lawyers to defend against legal consequences arising from the listed actions.
Additionally, we urge the IRS to investigate why the Church of Scientology fails to make 990 information widely available to the public, in direct contradiction to IRS Code.
By signing this petition, we implore the IRS and the US Congress to swiftly investigate and take decisive action to ensure accountability, putting an end to the misuse of tax-exempt status by the Church of Scientology.

I signed the petition.
It should also be mentioned that the C.O.S. refuses to give refunds even for advance payments made for services which have never been delivered! …This is in direct disobedience to the agreement they signed with the IRS when they were offered tax exempt status!!
The IRS should get a court order that requires the Church of Scientology to contact everyone on their records who has made advanced payments and remind each that they are entitled receive a refund of those monies if they so wish.
