As reported on by Tony Ortega, an amended complaint has been filed in the lawsuit captioned:

Gawain Baxter, Laura Baxter, and Valeska Paris were former Sea Org members who are suing for labor trafficking aboard Scientology’s notorious cruise ship the MV Freewinds.

The amended complaint also details David Miscavige’s continued attempts to evade the service of subpoena. Like L. Ron Hubbard before him, Miscavige has gone into hiding to avoid service of subpoena. Where Miscavige does appear, such as a Friday night graduation at Flag, it is impossible for a subpoena to be served on him as he is on heavily guarded private property. David Miscavige’s continuing efforts to evade the service of subpoena speak to his fear and terror of being deposed in a lawsuit.

The new complaint details the several alleged sexual assaults against Valeska Paris which we discussed with her in a podcast. None of the male Scientologists who are alleged to have sexually assaulted Valeska were punished by the Church and their crimes were covered up. Fast forward to 39:29 for details:

One of the interesting things in the amended complaint is the information it provides on the actual command structure onboard the Freewinds. The complaint states that Lurie Belotte, the RTC Rep for David Miscavige on the ship, is the “ultimate authority” on the ship. The accords with the consistent testimony of former Sea Org members that David Miscavige runs the Church of Scientology through his RTC Rep Network which permeates every organization of Scientology. The complaint states that while Captain Mike Napier has operational control of the ship, Belotte is the ultimate authority on the Freewinds.
