The Scientology Money Project

A must read: The Epic 1990’s Blowup between PR Giant Hill & Knowlton, the Church of Scientology, and Prozac Drug Manufacturer Eli Lilly

Reproduced below in PDF is a very hard-to-find and out of print article on the epic 1990’s blowup between the monster PR firm of Hill & Knowlton, the Church of Scientology, and Prozac manufacturer Eli Lilly.

This blowup offers any firm a cautionary tale about the potential cost of doing business with the toxic entity known as the Church of Scientology. As Hill & Knowlton learned the hard way, Scientology brings its bad karma into all of its arrangements.

  1. Very interesting article. The thing I’m most surprised about, actually, is that Miscavige even agreed to try this in the first place. It sort of explains why they haven’t gone to any big PR firms since then to try to get their toxic name handled by real PR professionals. They got burned by the big boys and I’m sure their butt still hurts from that spanking even after all these years.
